Don’t mistake ABS.

ABS is a good thing and this is recognized by the people. But no matter how good things are, they also need to be correctly understood so that it can be used properly to maximize function. At present, people can recognize and use the ABS but honestly speaking, they are not used in a proper way. So the new understanding of ABS is very necessary and even imminent.

ABS does not shorten the braking distance

We can imagine what will happen if we kick the brake pedal in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Then as the situation is more urgent, the step is more force, until the tire locking sent screams. At this time, the car stopped indeed, but the front wheel has lost the ability to dodge steering, the steering wheel has failed. At this time if the car runs into a small pit, vehicle may drift will spin. In fact, in such a time, as long as the brake pedal is a little loose, the situation is much better. What is worse is that the people are out of their mind and kick the brake pedal more energetically subconsciously.

This is what happens in the case of the locking wheels. For the car without ABS in the state of slip, no matter how the driver hits the steering wheel, it is impossible to make the car change the directions. Besides, the direction of the slip is also out of control and unforeseen. Because the car is out of control, the situation of the car is especially dangerous.

To deal with this, the car manufacturers invented ABS. Its principle is actually very simple, When the system finds that the wheels are locking, then the brake pads will be loose automatically and immediately so as to make the wheels continue to scroll, and then automatically brakes tightly.

So in fact, ABS does not really shorten the brake distance like what a lot of people think. On the contrary, it will make the braking distance extended. However, ABS will help you fight for the chance to escape the danger. In times of emergency, this opportunity you may be more valuable.

We take an example. When you are speeding on the very narrow road and about to overtake a car in front, but suddenly you find that there is another car running towards you. If you continue to accelerate the cars, you will crash with the cars in the opposite direction. If you need to back to the cars that you want to overtake, you do also need to brake the car very suddenly. In this urgent situation, you need kick the brake pedal to the bottom. In this very urgent moment, you turn the steering wheel to the right, then that car run past you. If there is no ABS in your car, then it is very likely that the car wheels can not run while you are kicking the brake pedal. If the steering wheel is out of control, the consequence is out of your imagination.

How should we step the ABS? Just step your ABS and even there is shocking from the pedal or the cars, because this is the normal reaction to the ABS working. At the same time, you can turn the steering wheel according to the specific circumstances of dodge. As long as you have the ABS in the normal working state, you will be allowed to retain at least 70% of steering capability.
