6. Line up the new starter motor and secure it by hand-tightening the two front-facing mounting bolts. Then securely tighten the bolts with a socket and ratchet. Attach the rear mounting bracket and secure it with the two rear-facing mounting bolts. Remove the nut from the rear of the starter, using a socket and ratchet, and remove the mounting bracket.5. Remove the two mounting bolts from the front of the starter motor.


Reconnect the electrical connection on the starter body. Press the connection into place until it clicks, locking into place.


8. Raise the car slightly with the jack so you can remove the jack stands. Lower the car to the ground and remove the jack. Test the operation of the new starter.
