Powered by LIQUID

HYT Watch Company

When it comes to Horologists the guys at HYT are extremely advanced. In 2010 a dream from one of the worlds top watch personalities Vincent Perriard came true when he got together with Lucien Vouillamoz and the fluidic ideas came to life.

The technical and design aspect of these watches are min blowing. The ultimate hybrid between mechanical and nano technical. The development of a liquid that would be resist vibrations, temperature and shocks took place then developing pump compressors that would move the liquid. The bellow compressors are actually made from alloy and absorb shocks to ensure waterproofing.

A special time setting system is in place to ensure the liquid would not move too quickly and the time kept precise.

The watch has a motor similar to a Super Car. A piston drives the bellows that pump the liquid that keep the time. House in 5 mm of Sapphire the liquid moves from the 6 o'clock position to the hours marker and the minutes are kept on a separate dial or by a hand. The seconds are also on a water turbine hand. The watch will build a power reserve as well.

The crown will let you move the liquid to the hour setting. HYT now sports a new Tourbillon line and that set up is more mind blowing. Displaying a Thermal Indicator and a Crown Position Indicator. Available in many different styles and liquid colors that are amazing.

This technology and complication is the exact reason people become watch collectors. The telling of time is the last thing a watch connoisseur is thinking when he sees something like this masterpiece. The idea of 500 moving parts, jewels and 100 screws and now "LIQUID" is the thing that keeps us loving our Swiss Horologists.
