Your Cigar Room

The Essential Cigar Cave

When it comes to a personal cigar room the ideas are endless. You can stick with the classic wooden walls and leather furniture or you can go modern with stained concrete and velvet. The     ideas and the styles are up to you and you can always change them if you feel things are getting stale.

When we think of a cigar room some essential items come to mind. You must have comfort, ambiance, tables, ashtrays, a 100 inch screen TV....well if the room allows and a bar filled with the essential wines, beer and spirits. If you are doing a bar you may want to keep in mind how each bottle will need to be stored. You may need a refrigerator or a dry place away from light that keep the bottle fresh.

The room can be well ventilated like a sun room with a lot of screening or French doors that open into a yard or if the room is in the center of the house you can install several air purifiers that get rid of the smoke.

You may look into artwork that goes along with the room as well. The ambiance is important as you will need 45-75 minutes per smoke.

You can add conversation pieces to the room so when your friends or guests come over you can set the tone. The other thing to keep in mind is lighting. You can use natural or installed lighting that accents the room or the artwork.
