I'm ordering all lower drawers for the kitchen --- no doors at all. I like the concept and efficiency of a set of deep drawers to make great use of space. A few of the drawers will be fitted with a pegboard base and a set of thick dowels, to make customizable spaces for my stacks of dinner plates, cereal bowls, etc.
To figure out how many dowels I need, I took my plates out to the deck, and created a template for the interior size of my future drawers! It really helped, I recommend this process to anyone who's looking to invest in a new kitchen :: measure the things you have, to ensure that all will fit into your new design.
