If your idea of fun is racing over snow-covered hills at top-notch speeds, then the Ski Doo Mach 1 is the ski mobile for you. The 1991 Mach 1 was a reliable snowmobile. However, it does require maintenance and repairs from time to time. If the fuel tank on the Ski Doo ever does get damaged and springs a leak, or if you ever have to change the fuel pump, it may be necessary to remove the tank.

Open the Ski Doo fuel tank, insert the siphon hose and use the hand pump to siphon the gas out of the tank into one or more gas cans.
2Use a wrench to loosen the nuts holding the tank's fuel lines in place and then pull off the lines.
3Use a socket set to loosen and remove the bolts that hold the fuel tank straps in place.
4Lower the fuel tank down gently once the straps are loosened and then slide the tank up and out.
