Step 1:
Pull to unsnap the square plastic panel that surrounds the gear shift area. You should be able to lift up the plastic with your fingers, but if have problems, a small flat head screwdriver can be inserted under the plastic to pry the plastic panel up so you can grab it with your fingers.

Step 2:
Once the plastic panel has been removed, locate and remove four Phillips screws that were hidden under the plastic panel.

Step 3:
Locate and remove two Phillips screws located directly above the radio. These screws are not visible until you look up from below the radio.

Step 4:
Move to the lower dash panel, below the steering wheel. The plastic panel located below the steering wheel must be removed so you can access a hidden screw behind the lower panel.
At the lower left corner of the plastic panel, directly below the fuse box, locate and remove one Phillips screw.

Step 5:
Just to the left of the screw just removed is flexible rubber metal edge cover. This rubber edge cover is tucked behind a plastic panel that extends to the floor of the vehicle. Pull the rubber edge cover up 2 inches until the end frees from behind the plastic panel.
On the far left of the plastic panel under the steering wheel is a small edge or lip that extends behind the rubber edge cover. If you do not lift up on the plastic edge cover you might have a hard time removing the plastic panel below the steering wheel.

Step 6:
Once the screws securing the plastic dash panel below the steering wheel have been removed, the panel can be pulled off of the main body of the dash/ pull the lower part of the panel. The top of the panel has plastic tabs securing the panel to the main body of the dash. Pull the panel toward the out towards the drivers seat and the panel should completely separate from the dash.

Step 7:
Located behind the plastic panel under the steering wheel is one Phillips screw to the left of the radio.
Remove the screw.
