DRAENERT supports an initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg to preserve the old beech wood forests by using this wood. From the age of 120 years on, the beech trees develop a reddish hue in the core of their trunk. The grain and nuances of color vary from red, through russet and orange to brown. These manifestations are unique and relate of the long life of these trees.
