How to Remove the Front Bumper Cover of a Trailblazer SS

The front bumpers on a Vehicles are secured to the frame of the Vehicles from the center mounting points on the center of the bumper. In the center of the bumper are two arms that connect the ends of metal frame to the bumper; the bumper is mounted to the frame by four bolts on each arm. You will have enough space between the ground and the frame of the Vehicles so you will not need to raise the Vehicles off of the ground to gain access to the bolts.

Loosen the tire nuts securing the tire to the frame of the Trailblazer using the tire tool. Raise the front end of the Trailblazer using the car jack. Lower the trailblazer onto jack stands to keep the front end off of the ground.

Pull the front right and left tire off of the wheel axle. Remove the plastic tabs that are holding the wheel well cover to the frame on the right and left sides by prying the securing tabs off with a screwdriver.

Remove the bolts that are securing the front bumper cover to the frame behind the wheel well on the right and left sides of the Trailblazer using the ratchet set.

Remove the bolts that are securing the front bumper cover to the frame of the Trailblazer inside the engine compartment next to the radiator and engine compartment walls using the ratchet set.

Pull the front bumper cover off of the frame of the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
