This is perhaps the best thing I have
seen done with cigar boxes. The guys
at OWEN & FRED have put together a
functional set of audio speakers that
have good sound and look great too!
A great accent to your bookshelf, desk or credenza. The speakers will fill a small to medium room and be the center of conversation.
The speakers are hand made in the USA and feature a aluminum cone 2.5 inch speaker. The speaker was designed to use in a cedar box. There is a 3/4 inch tuning port and brass hardware.
Each speaker is self powered by a 10 watt per channel amp. The system uses a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack which most phones, computers or portable sound devices use today. The speakers will use any 120 volt wall outlet.
Each cigar box is treated with a satin lacquer finish and are re-braced internally for strengthening the boxes.
The original brass hardware and cigar box markings and labels are maintained. One speaker box will contain a volume control and power switch with a blue indicator light.
