THE MOB & CIGARS
The Mob have been enjoying cigars
since the days when you could get
a nice Cuban stick. The 1920's &
1930's brought a wave of crime
that was into bootlegging and theft.
The mobs formed families and was
given territories to control. The Mob
often open social clubs where they
would meet and enjoy cigars and
drinks. These clubs were also the
offices where business would be
discussed. The contacts that the
Bosses had would allow them the
finer things in life like a Cuban
cigar or premium Scotch. The Mob
Bosses would often be seen in their
Italian suits, hats and a cigar. The
idea was if you were the Boss then
look like it. Some of the Bosses and
their crew would be seen on the
street corner puffing away, now
weather that was from stress or the
pure love of the cigar we will never
know. The bond between the Mob and
cigars will always be interlinked in
the public eyes by images they have
seen good or bad.
