What is computer ?

A computer is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data .It has the ability to store retrieve, and process data .

Modern computers are electronic and digital. The actual machinery - wires, transistors, and circuits --is called hardware (such as keybord,mouse,monitor,printer etc.. ); the instructions and data are called software(such as ms-office).

There is a story that five bliend men came across an elephant.Each one of them touched the different parts of its body.The one who touched the trunk said the the elephant was like a snake; the one who heald the tail ,said that it was like a rope. The ones holding other parts of its body said different things.Likes elephant,a computer is made of different parts which when looked at from any user angle will give a different definition.We should just renumber that a computer.

It is totally under the control of the user.

So, we can totally say that a computer is a machine,totally at the command of the user,which can perform operate at a much higher speed than a human being.

Who Invent First Computer ?

The Father of Computer is Charles Babbage.Charles Babbage,British professor mathematics is the man who invented the first computer in 1837.

Abacus(Calculator)

Approximately 4,000 years ago, the Chinese invented the Abacus. Abacus is a counting or calculation tool which is used for addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. It may also be used to get square-roots and cubic roots. This tool is made from different types of hard woods and they vary in size. It is operated by hand.
