As an experienced interior designer and triathlete, the director Lisa Melvin understands the importance of tailoring your bathroom to suit your lifestyle, especially if you regularly undergo sports training. She explains: “When you have a strict fitness regime, having a bathroom that you can return home to at the end of a hard workout is the perfect way to soothe aching limbs and rejuvenate the mind, ready for the next day.

“There are so many products now available that have been designed with residential bathrooms in mind from high-pressure deluge showerheads and steam cabins, to baths with massage jets. One of my favourite products at the moment is the Sunshower, which not only gently bronzes as you shower but, most importantly, the infrared radiation soothes tired muscles.”

Lisa believes it's important to achieve a calm and relaxing ambience in the comfort of your bathroom, which will allow you to truly unwind: “Incorporating natural materials and sticking to a neutral colour palette with hints of brighter shades along with well-positioned mood lighting, will help you achieve a relaxed state of mind. At Lisa Melvin Design, we will work to create a bathroom that feels open and spacious and has a calming ambience.”
