How Do I Change the RPM in a CRV?

The RPM, also referred to as revolutions-per-minute, of your vehicle indicates how hard your vehicle is accelerating. The higher your RPM, the more fuel you are burning. You can determine your Honda CR-V's RPM by checking the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster of the vehicle, which is located just behind the steering wheel. If your vehicle travels at an RPM that is outlined by red, you should slow down, as it may cause damage to your CR-V's engine.

Instructions

    1

Insert the keys into the ignition of the CR-V. Turn the ignition all the way forward to start the engine.

    2

Press down on the brake and grab the gear shifter. Change gears from "P" to "D."

    3

Press down on the accelerator pedal to begin accelerating and raising your RPM.

    4

Press down on the brake pedal to lower your RPM.
