The Blade SR is a remote-controlled model helicopter manufactured by Horizon Hobby. One of the more common problems that can afflict the Blade SR is a broken feathering shaft. This can occur if the helicopter crashes into the ground. There is a replacement process for the feathering shaft that can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

Remove the main blades with a Phillips screwdriver. Take the screws off each blade and pull the blade off.
2Insert screwdrivers into both sides of the feathering shaft and pry it loose.
3Remove the screw from the top of the feathering shaft and remove the washer as well.
4Insert the fly bar into the feathering shaft and use it to push the feathering shaft out of the helicopter.
5Grip the broken feathering shaft with a pair of pliers and remove the second screw on the feathering shaft.
6Install the screw into the new feathering shaft and use some adhesive to help secure it.
7Use the fly bar to insert the new feathering shaft into the helicopter.
8Install the other screw to secure the feathering shaft.
9Reattach the main blades and their screws.
