The Honda Accord was introduced in 1976 as a two-door hatchback vehicle. The Honda Accord sedan was not produced until the 1983 model year. The 1993 Honda Accord was equipped with a 2.2-liter, in-line four-cylinder engine, capable of producing 125 horsepower and 145 foot-pounds of torque. The 1993 Accord headlight assembly was equipped with a high beam and a low beam headlight bulb, along with a turn signal bulb. Replacement of the headlamp assembly requires attention to detail, though the process can be quite simple.

Open the hood of the Accord and set the hood prop. Remove the two headlight assembly bolts from the top of the radiator core support, using a ratchet and socket.
2Pull the headlight assembly forward from the front bumper of the Accord. Remove all three light bulbs and socket by rotating them counterclockwise in relation to their position on the car. Remove the old headlight assembly completely from the Accord.
3Remove the three old light bulbs from their sockets, by hand. Wrap each new bulb lens in a clean paper towel or toilet paper, prior to picking up the bulbs. Do not touch the bulbs with your bare hands. Insert the turn signal bulb (3497) into the farthest outboard light socket. Insert the low beam bulb (9006SU) into the center bulb socket. Install the high beam bulb (9005SU) into the socket closest to the grille of the car.
4Set the new headlight assembly into the front bumper of the Accord. Turn each bulb socket clockwise into the rear of the new assembly, until they lock into place. Set the new assembly into the front headlight position, then install the assembly mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug, using a ratchet and socket. Turn the ratchet 1/4-turn farther to acquire the 8 to 10 foot-pounds of torque needed for the assembly bolts.
5Repeat Steps 1 through 5 to replace the headlight assembly on the second side of the Accord. Lower the hood when you have finished installation, and have checked that all of the front lights work properly.
