GPS antenna:
four ways to place the antenna:
1) Place it under the windshield with or without adhesive, Velcro or glass suction. The premise is that there is no shielding of the attached film.
2) Attach it outside the car with magnet. About 1/5 of foils attached to the front car windshield can shield the satellite signals. When parking, it is possible that someone takes the antenna away. Luckily, the antenna is not that expensive.
3) Place the antenna on the sunroof. You can just put it in the middle of the two sliding doors inside and outside. Most of the exterior windows will not shield the signals.
4) Put it in the Instrument panel or behind the bumper etc. For the anti-burglar style, we usually install it in this way. But we should make sure that there is no shielding in front inside the instrument panel. The bumper needs first to be plastic or glass steel.
