The 1991 Dodge Intrepid emerged from the factory equipped with an alarm system. The alarm system may be turned off either through the Intrepid's remote control or, to make sure the alarm won't come on at all, by removing the alarm fuse from the Intrepid's fuse block. You should be sure to not leave the alarm disabled for a long period of time, as this will make your Intrepid more susceptible to theft.

Press the "Panic" button on the remote control to deactivate the Intrepid's alarm. The alarm will automatically turn off after three minutes or if the Intrepid reaches 15 mph.
2Open the Intrepid's hood and remove the cover of the fuse block.
3Remove the fuse in slot 18. This will disable the alarm system.
