Turn the 325is ignition to the 2 position.
2Press and hold both outside keys on the vehicles garage door opener interface until the light on the interface flashes. Release the buttons.
3Hold the garage door opener remote within two inches of the garage door opener interface on the BMW.
4Press and hold the open button on the garage door opener remote, and at the same time the desired button on the garage door opener interface on the BMW. Release both buttons as soon as the light on the garage door opener interface flashes rapidly.
5Program any additional devices by repeating steps 3 and 4, using the remaining two buttons on the garage door opener interface.

7Enter the programming mode on the garage door opener. This varies greatly, depending on the type and brand of opener, so refer to the openers instructions for specifics. Most openers, however, have a Program button you press and hold to enter this mode.
