I received the sweetest fan letter for
Intimate Enemy the other day and it couldn't have come at a better time. Fan mail is the most wonderful boost. I had a smile on my face all day and I crack another toothy grin whenever I think about it.
I never realized the power of a nice note until I became pubbed and started receiving the occasional fan mail. I never used to write them myself but now I drop notes to authors whose stories I've enjoyed because I know what a difference it can make in some one's day.
So get out there and shoot an email to the author of your recently read book. Tell them how much you enjoyed their story and how much you are looking forward to their next release. Who knows. You may even receive a response!
