Shortly after unveiling the new Dio at the Auto Expo last month, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has launched the scooter. The new Honda Dio has been priced at Rs 42,362, ex-showroom Delhi and will be on sale by February end.
The new Dio has been given a revamp to make it look flashier, and sports a new headlight design, body panels and a new tail to go with it as well. The seat is now wider, apart from which the Dio also gets tubeless tyres. It also gets the Activa’s Combi Brake System. However, the biggest change for the Dio is its engine, as this moto-scooter now gets the Activa’s 110cc, 8PS engine. Honda claims that new Dio will deliver 66.7kmpl (ARAI certified), which according to the manufacturer is a 15 percent increase over the previous generation Dio.
