Mitsubishi has launched the Pajero Sport SUV in India. The Pajero Sport is powered by a 2477-cc diesel engine, producing 178 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is equipped with the Super Select all-wheel drive system, which gives it true anywhere capability. Additionally, the Pajero Sport boasts of 215mm of ground clearance, and Mitsubishi claims it can scale slopes as steep as 35 degrees!
The Pajero Sport is based on Mitsubishi's popular L200 pick-up truck, and hence has sturdy body-on-frame construction. The L200 is proven to be an extremely reliable vehicle, and so the Pajero Sport should prove similar.
The Pajero Sport is priced at Rs 23.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. At this price, it gives Mitsubishi a perfect contender to compete with the likes of the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner.
With the addition of this model, Mitsubishi is now offering its entire range of SUVs and soft-roaders in India.
