The car radio of the Ford is located on the central dashboard. As you know, if the radio is not properly wired, it will not function properly. Fortunately, the radio only has a single wiring connector, located at the rear of the unit, and it only takes twenty minutes or so to wire your Ford radio. In order to access the radio, you will need to remove the central dash trim, a key process but this can be done with only a flat-head screwdriver.
Processes
1. Open the Ford’s hood and disengage the negative battery cable with a socket wrench. Then remove the positive battery cable and wait two minutes.
2. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the central dash trim to reveal the radio’s attachment screws.
3. Remove the four screws from the Ford radio using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Carefully pull the radio out toward you.
4. Reach behind the Ford radio to locate its wiring connector. Grasp the connector and plug it into the rear of the radio.
5. Push the Ford radio back into the vehicle and refasten the screws. Reattach the central dash trim, reconnect the vehicle battery cable and close the hood.
