How to set up a new GPS map for your vehicle?

1.Here is the Car DVD player KIA new Sorento with gps,let's check the main menu,and then touch the setting icon to go into setting menu:

2.In the setting menu,touch the first icon to setup GPS file path,all of the gps navigator has this function,it is needed for you to do the setting before running the map:

3.You can see there are a path to show you where the .exe file is,your job is to setup the path with your own map,so touch the folder to go into the setting menu:

4.You can find there are the folder "storagecard" which save your map inside,or you will see "SDMMC" in some of the different gps device,just double click the folder and you can see every folder and files of the SD card you insert:

5.Find the .exe file and select it,and then press "OK",so the gps file path setup complete.

6.Return to the main menu of the car dvd player,and then touch the GPS icon to go to run gps map.Some of the device show you "Navi","GPS Nav" or something similar,it is the icon for GPS running,just touch it to go.

7.After touch the GPS icon,we can go into the GPS map and begin our setting before navigation.For igo map,you can touch the icon "map" to go inside the map menu direct.

8.Before the navigation,we need to setup the gps port and the baud rate of the gps device to receive GPS signal.In igo map,we can touch the icon of the GPS signal to go to check the GPS signal which some customer said how many Satellite the device found.

9.Touch the GPS icon again to go inside gps status menu.

10.We can find the signal of the Satellite in this menu because we had setup it correct.If you didn't setup it correct,so you find 0 Satellite in this menu.So let's touch the setting icon to setup the gps port and the baud rate first.

11.In the gps setting menu,we need to select the box to enable the gps,it is the same meaning "ON" button here.And then touch the bar of the port to select the port,some device is port 1,some others is port 2,but the new sorento dvd player 6621 is port 2.And then need to setup the baud rate,most of the gps device is 9600 as our experience,but some model is 4800,so you can check it with your supplier before setting.After setting correct,the device will show you "GPS receiver is connected",it means it can receive the signal of the Satellite correctly from now on,so it is ready to do the navigtion.Select the icon of the left side buttom to back to the map menu,and ready to do navigation now.
