KINGSTON RELEASES SD HIGH CAPACITY 'VIDEO' CARDS
Kingston today announced a line of SDHC Video cards, especially for use in digital camcorders. The SDHC Video cards are available in 60-minute (4GB), 120-minute (8GB) and 240-minute (16GB) capacities. The Kingston SDHC Video cards feature a Class 4 speed rating, which guarantees a minimum data transfer rate of 4MB/sec., making them ideal for use in the latest digital camcorders and for fast transfer from card to PC.

ONLINE STORAGE SOLUTIONS LAUNCHED BY NIVIO
Nivio has announced the launch of NivioLite Free, a free online storage & backup facility. According to a press release, anyone signing up for NivioLite Free will receive 1GB of secure storage for free. Users needing additional storage space can purchase extra storage on a pay-per-use basis.

GARMIN AND ASUS TO LAUNCH NEW SMARTPHONE
Garmin, a firm that manufactures satellite navigation devices, is teaming up with Asus in a bid to build a new smartphone. It is thought the Garmin-Asus brand will offer smartphones with operating systems from many providers, including Microsoft Windows Mobile, Linux and Google's Android, said Jonney Shih, chairman of Asustek.Garmin-Asus will compete against popular devices such as the iPhone and T-Mobile's G1 Android-based handset by specializing in location-based services (LBS), executives from both companies said.

INTEL CONFIRMS EIGHT-CORE NEHALEM EX CHIP
Intel confirmed that its upcoming eight-core chip is the Nehalem EX, designed for servers with multiple processors. Intel has revealed that the upcoming eight-core, 2.3 billion transistor processor it plans to detail next week is the Nehalem EX chip, but the company declined to offer details of the chip ahead of the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in San Francisco.
