Well, it may not quite be IMAP (the feature thousands of Gmail users like your's-truly have been begging for), but POP is here for Gmail, for FREE! Now, I use gpopper (
www.gpopper.com) a free Windows tool that shows unread gmail messages in your Outlook inbox via a local pop connection. I prefer this method because this allows me to use the gmail account for backup storage of the read messages, while still letting me see any new messages in a unified inbox on my PC.
