Huawei P10 Prototype Leaks

Info! Some specs of the phone have emerged as well
If you believe that Huawei has adopted Samsung's model when it comes to launching flagship smartphones, you're most likely correct. The Chinese company is focusing on unveiling two high-end smartphones per year, but they are aimed at different markets, as to not cannibalize sales between them.

The P series is competing with Samsung's Galaxy S phones, while the Mate family rivals the Note phablets that the South Korean company launched during fall each year.

The next P series phone, the P10 will be launched next year, probably at Mobile World Congress in February or slightly later in the spring. The good news is we already have a couple of pictures that show the Huawei P10 in the wild.

It's a prototype unit that doesn't features the Huawei logo, which is why we're a bit circumspect about these live pictures. Nevertheless, the phone comes with a dual-camera setup on the back and since there's no fingerprint right under, we believe Huawei is thinking of moving it in the front, below the Home button.

Along with the pictures that were published on Weibo, some of the phone's specs leaked as well. For example, the P10 will be powered by Huawei's newest Kirin 960 chipset, which doesn't really comes as a surprise.

Two P10 variants could be launched next year

Then, there's 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, but Huawei will launch a more expensive variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage inside.

The P9 sports a 5.5-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, but the P10 might come with a slightly better screen. Huawei won't include a larger display inside the P10, but it might add one that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, the latest rumors claim.

Huawei P10 may also retain the 12-megapixel dual cameras on the back side, which will most certainly feature Leica lens. Other than that, there aren't any other details about this prototype, but we're still months away from P10's reveal so there's still time for new info to surface.
