Evansville Road Knights Annual Car Show


Rods, customs, and restored vintage vehicles converge on the Angel Mounds Nation Historic Speck Everyone Spring, at the Evansville Road Knights Annual Vehivle Demonstrate. The classic automobile club was formed in 1947. (Glare Reference 3.) The festival features prizes and certain awards, games, air and provisions. Angel Mounds Native land Historic Point is a preserved prehistoric Native American site. The Road Knights also put on a monthly cruise-in at a native restaurant, as of summer 2010, and 50s-themed dances. The events are open to the public.

The Classic Iron Show


Cars share the focus with antique tractors in the Southern Indiana Antique Machinery Club Classic Iron Show in Evansville, but the Model A and T Speedster Exhibition and race is a crowd favorite. (See Reference 4.)


The weekend show and race take place each June at the Vanderburgh 4-H center, six miles north of Evansville on State 41. The show includes several family exhibits and events, such as a flea market, toy show, tractor pull, tractor rodeo, and Sunday morning worship service. Admission, as of summer 2010, was only $4 for those 13 and older. The Southern Indiana Antique and Machinery Club (SIAM) was founded in 1978.

Shrinersfest Car Show/Bike Show


Downtown Evansville fills with both classic and souped-up specialty cars and motorcycles each Spring, in the Shrinersfest Car Show/Bike Show and New Generation Show. Participants can pre-register or register the morning of the event, and have the chance for awards, door prizes and a raffle, according to the civic club. There is also entertainment, food, vendors, activities for children, specialty cars and clowns.

Decalescent rod enthusiasts posses travelled from 48 states, and as far absent as Alaska, Canada and Australia, according to the club. They bunch up at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Centre in Evansville to expo and admire cars, and to cause affair. The 600 spaces for commercial street-rod vendors are abundant, further as the 400 spaces in the swap reconciled sphere.
