All Natural Wood Watch
A Ukranian Carpenter named Valerii Danevych is taking the watch world by storm! The thing is Mr. Danevych has no training what so ever in watchmaking. The training he does have is he comes from a long line of cabinet makers. Mr. Danevych has been fascinated with wood ever since he was a child.
The watch is fully functional and made almost 100% of just wood. The inner wheels and movements are wood and a metal spring rotates the movement to keep time.
Mr. Danevych took his time choosing the wood that would work for these timepieces. The wood that suits the need is Birch Wood.
The watches could use other exotic woods as well like Bamboo or Juniper.
This is a very interesting light weight watch. The craftsmanship is superb. The thought is that the
inside will soon be a technical collaboration that will bring Swiss movements and other elements to these wood wonders.
The attention to detail has made a lot of people notice and Mr. Danevych was inducted into the Horological Academy of Independent Creator for his work.
