The Veritas RS III

The name Veritas has been around since 1949. The company had been racing cars and made their first street legal vehicle and then moved into a larger facility. The first car was the Komet Coupe and 200 orders were placed. Based out of West Germany the company set up shop in 
Muggensterm. Production stopped in 1950 do to finances.



After several attempts to launch the brand the company stopped only producing bodies for Panhard cars. After 50 plus years a new company Vermot AG resurrected the Veritas name and decided to build the prototype RS III. In 2008 the team put together the RS III for testing and in 2009 they released this beast.




The Veritas RS III is a limited edition car. There are only 30 of these models. The motor is a 5.0 L V10 and has 600 HP. The motor is a BMW model. The transmission is a 6 speed manual. The body and frame are light bringing the weight in at 2360 lbs. the 0 to 60 comes in at 3.6 seconds. The top speed is 216 MPH.




 The car has a mean stance and a creature like face on the front grill area. You can have one or both seats opened and the interior is nicely equipped with leather and a spaceship looking steering wheel. A great short shifter and instrument panel adorn the capsule. The exhaust shoots out of the rear where a trunk latch would be. The total height of the car is only 38.2 inches off the ground.
