Hawaiian Vintage Cigar

The Kauai Vintage Cigar

The Hawaiian Kauai Cigar Company
is producing a very interesting cigar
product. Originally the company was
in the Coffee business only. The idea
was that they had the land full of
minerals that would grow tobacco so they did there research and started a very nice tobacco farm.

The climate on the Blair Estate in Kauai is ideal and very similar to Cuba's climate. The tobacco season goes from March to December and allows for several crops. A total of 18-21 leaves per plant is harvested in this tropical environment.

The tobacco is then slow dried in climate controlled barns so that the leaves never totally dry. The curing of the leaves lasts 4-8 weeks then the process gets interesting. The red tape that Hawaii has set on tobacco and the taxes have forced this wonderful tobacco estate to ship the leaves off to Nicaragua were they have a partnership with a manufacturer. The leaves are then fermented in bulks and aged. The leaves are separated then the rolling begins. the Kauai is involved from beginning to end to ensure their product is of the utmost quality.

Once the cigars have rested in their cedar boxes they are shipped back to Hawaii and offered to the public.
The vintage cigars are a rich brown with a red under tone to them. A very healthy wrapper that has a oily sheen and a classic colored band to match.
This Vintage cigar line has three sizes:

The Wailua         54 x 6 1/4
The No Ka Oi      59 x 6
The Monona        50 x 5 3/4

The quiet little company in Kauai is doing big things! The cigars have got rave reviews and the census is that they are among the tastiest cigars around.
