CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon
So went back into my humidor and there was a classic vintage styled CAO that has never let me down. The CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon. There will be certain cigars that just leave their aroma and taste burned into
your memory bank and this is one.
Introduced to us back in 1999, this cigar was to celebrate the 30 year anniversary for the business.
This classic stick is comprised of a silky Cameroon wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and a Nicaraguan filler.
A highly rated cigar from several national publications giving this stick a 90 or higher on all occasions.
The Cameroon comes in a boxed pressed shape and may be tubed.
A family owned business CAO is hands on and is not after the numbers but the quality of what is delivered. The Cameroon is a light to medium body cigar with a sweet undertone that the Cameroon wrapper brings.
The first quarter of the smoke is full of a cedar taste and aroma. A hint of spice and almond come around.
The midway point in this smoke brings on a heavier smoke and mellows out with a honey but earthy flavor. The feel of the cigar is soft but the draws is perfect.
Towards to end of the stick I got a more smoked cedar flavor with a caramel finish. The fresh cedar aroma is still present and adds to the experience.
