Mid-Engine Corvette Yes!

Mid engine Corvette?

We believe GM is getting closer to having the ZR1 edition Corvette be a Mid engine rocket.
What will the Corvette look like, well we don't know but we can just imagine it will be very special!
GM has toyed with the idea for some time now and the rumors run rapid.

The ZR1 may become the C8 and it would be the 1st production mid engine for the Vette.

History: The Chevrolet Aerovette was a concept car created by the Chevroletas Experimental Project 882  (XP-882). It was a mid-engine car using a transverse mounting of its V-8 engine.
Zora Arkus-Duntov's designers originally built two XP-882's in 1969, but John DeLorean, general manager, canceled the design because it was impractical and the cost for doing this project was expensive.  DeLorean ordered one of the XP-882 cleaned it up for display at the 1970 New York Auto Show.

GM has also trademarked the name Zora which may be the new name for the Mid engine Corvette. The new builds for GM's Camaro has added pressure for GM to separate these lines as far as horsepower and weight by making a new "Super Car" which would be a light mid-engine Corvette.

America's super car could also move toward being a hybrid in the future. the Mid engine would be the start of the future for this project. It would be nice to add more torque and HP to this lightening bolt of a car. The added costs of the production would then put this icon into super car pricing maybe in the $200,000 class. We suspect the interior exterior and interior would be a total redesign with special additives.
