Greubel Forsey
This year at the Grand Prix d' Horlogerie
de Geneve the mother of the watch
conventions, Greubel Forsey took 1st
place in the most complicated series.
Mr. Forsey is celebrating his 10 year
anniversary this year. The watch that
received the award is the "Invention
Piece 2. This is Greubel Forsey's 3rd
award for his pursuit of excellence in
horological art.
The Invention Piece 2 is painstakingly comprised of 594 components tightly squeezed into the 43.5mm asymmetrical case. The watch has 2 double Tourbillon motors.
The complicated tourbillons are couples by a spherical differential in the center of the watch.
The minutes and the hours are produced by a red triangle and a rotating disk on the sub dial positioned at 5 o'clock and under that are the triple coaxial mainspring barrels. Look at the 10 o'clock position and you will see the seconds. The 56 hour power reserve is at the 11 o'clock.
