When it comes to sound only a few stand even close to Bang & Olufsen. The high end audio company is now in several car manufacturers including BMW. BMW known for its attention to detail has now put the extremely sophisticated sound producer Bang & Olufsen in several of it models including the BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

The distinctive audio company has managed to integrate their sound perfectly in to the cabin of the M6. BMW has done its homework too by making sure the design of the cabin holds the sound without the annoying vibrations that can come from such a full sound.
The fully active 16 channel amplifier gives 1200 watts of maximum output and 500 watts dedicated to the sub woofers.
The sound feature is a 5.1 surround sound with DSP.
The 16 fully active sound speaker setup fills the cabin:
7 tweeters
7 mid-range
2 sub woofers
The 7 tweeters are paired along with the 7 mid-range speakers to give you a complete connected sound experience. The 2 sub woofers are mounted directly to the body of the road craft under the front seats to deliver a clean punch.
Special mounting of the speakers and grills gives the system a floating affect. Turning on the system activates small LED's that light up to highlight the speakers.
Upon activating the system the grill in the center of the dash silently lifts and a large acoustic lens appears and the LED's brighten at the same time to start the extravagant sound show.
Acoustic Lens Technology sends the sound horizontally with 180 degrees of dispersion.
The system uses a Dynamic Sound Optimisation. This is a system that uses a microphone strategically placed in the cabin that will automatically adjust the volume level depending on the exterior noise level cause by roads or weather and city noise.
There is a Studio Mode and a Expanded Mode to adjust to get unique staging sounds.
