Article: Kim Gura, "Certain songs winning #1 on digital charts + music shows is an adverse effect of fandoms"
Source: OSEN via Naver
Kim Gura: "Fandoms have grown to the point where they're able to control even the broadcast companies. Nowadays, songs will shoot up the rankings at once so there are a lot of nugu songs winning #1 because fans will come together to stream all at once.
There are songs where fans will make win #1 on music shows and that song is never heard of again. I can't help but say this is an adverse effect of fandoms."
Lee Sang Min: "With all of this effort fans put in, singers must treat their fans nice. In the past, promotions were up to the company but fandoms do it all for them these days."
Kim Gura: "There are even some fans who study hard to become scriptwriters and PDs themselves. 'Starwatcher' scriptwriter Hwang Sun Young is a fan of Shin Hye Sung and PD Shin Hyo Jung is Lee Seung Gi's fan."

1. [+1,879, -41] I admit it has gone too far when you see a song win #1 that isn't anywhere in the top 30 on the charts.
2. [+1,443, -28] There are so many crazy fandoms lately...
3. [+1,300, -42] That's why sajaegi has always been an issue. Rankings should be taken out completely.
4. [+1,088, -30] Can't trust digital or physical sales these days anymore
5. [+267, -6] Saw that Jung Jun Young was #3 on M! Countdown today... when he's ranked #70 digitally.. I've never heard of his song once.
6. [+229, -17] There's also the issue of people calling idol songs bad without having listened to them.
7. [+209, -13] The public not knowing a song that won #1 is a problem.
8. [+225, -31] Reminds me of VIXX. Their song isn't on the charts but their fans got them #1. The public didn't know who they were at all ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
9. [+266, -104] INFINITE, VIXX, BAP, reflect please
10. [+227, -76] INFINITE's Last Romeo
11. [+142, -19] The most hilarious case was SHINee and IU last year. IU achieved an all kill on every digital chart as soon as her album was released. SHINee probably recognized that and kicked off their comeback with a digital release and a full release a week later. Too bad because even with the release, they got buried under IU's 'Red Shoes' and their digital rank dropped to the floor barely within a day. What's funnier is they won #1 on every music show still, overtaking IU. IU was not even in the nominations the following week. Does that make sense? It doesn't at all. Digital points matter the most in music show wins too.
12. [+127, -5] They should just block any song not in the top 20 on Melon from being nominated for a music show. There's only so much fans should be able to control tsk tsk.
13. [+122, -3] As a consequence, a lot of good songs were overlooked.
14. [+202, -86] I'm sure VIXX and INFINITE fans are feeling guilty
15. [+110, -13] I'll never understand SHINee's Everybody winning daesang last year ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Fans tried to reason that it was about time they received it because they had debuted for a while ã…‹ã…‹ But since when did the daesang become something you won according to how many years you had? If the song was even good, I wouldn't care..
