Kitchens Design with Contrast

Kitchens Design with Contrast - This tasty trip through five kitchens, visualized by Artem Evstigneev, features areas of high contrast within countertop sectioning, unit selections, and indeed between the two. A safe kitchen layout can be completely transformed with a simple addition of tone.

A freestanding look is achieved in this kitchen, where a wooden crockery sideboard holds twin cookers. The wooden elements of the room are freshened by white cabinets, worktops and fridge-freezer.

The curvaceous cut of the countertop provides a further area of contrast, as the smooth shape is the complete opposite of the squared off cupboard fronts with angular black trim.

A warm wood grain has been selected to prevent the black and white elements from appearing too stark and unwelcoming.

Three different countertops in one space probably wouldn’t be your first idea, but when used in the right combination a trio can produce a great effect.
