Subaru Forester, Nissan 350Z & Subaru Impreza - Today, three beautiful cars are joining our car of the day category – Subaru Forester (left side), Nissan 350Z (middle), and Subaru Impreza (right side).


The Nissan 350Z and Subaru Impreza models have been introduced here before (more than once). However, the Subaru Forester hasn’t been introduced until now, and we have to say a lot of things about the car. Or more likely, we have to say a lot about its specifications and some other important things.

The Subaru Forester, in the picture above, is a second generation 2008 Subaru Forester XT Sports. This particular (base “Sports”) model is available with a 2.5-liter flat-4 173 hp (127 kW) at 6000 rpm and torque of 166 lbs-ft (225 Nm) at 4400 rpm petrol engine (Sports X). It also is available with a more powerful 2.5-liter flat-4 turbo 224 hp (165 kW) at 5600 rpm and torque of 226 lbs-ft (306 Nm) at 3600 rpm petrol engine (Sports XT).

Car’s dimensions: wheelbase – 99.4 inches (2525 mm); length – 176.6 inches (4485 mm); width – 68.3 inches (1735 mm); height – 62.6 inches (1590 mm) for Sports X and 62.4 inches (1585 mm) for Sports XT; curb weight – 3139 lbs (1424 kg) for Sports X and 3249 lbs (1474 kg) for Sports XT.

Acceleration & Top Speed: Sports X can do 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in about 7.9 seconds. Sports XT can do the same in about 6.4 seconds. Can reach a top speed of ~230 km/h (142 mph).

In 2008, the price (MSRP) for a base Subaru Forester Sports X model was set at around 21,700 USD ($). For a base Sports XT model, the price was set at around 27,000 USD ($).
