The first thing you need to do is figure out how many frames you have, and how you want to group them .... plus how closely you'd like to space them. Do this on the floor, before you pound your first nail! Make sure the backs of your frames all look the same, so they will hang exactly the same on the wall.
Don't be afraid to make a few pencil marks on your wall. Decide where you want to start, usually in the middle, and make a pencil mark where you intend to pound that nail. But still:: don't pound yet! From that first mark, measure to the left and right, and up and down, so you have multiple pencil marks on your wall. Take into account how wide each frame is and how far apart you'd like each frame to be. (This is where your ideas about spacing and your math skills play nicely together!) Grab a long level, and make sure all your marks are level with each other :: left/right and above/below. Now that you've got your pencil marks spaced exactly where you want them, you can grab your hammer.
Now that you've done the hard part, the rest is easy!
