I am drawn to sphere and orbs! I have been admiring the new orb light fixtures that I'm seeing all over in catalogs and online stores. However, I'm not sure about how much light they throw out ... I like my overhead fixtures to be efficient! I spotted my new acquisition at the Lucketts Spring Market. So cute with space for 5 glass votive candle holders. I was smitten. I decided to use it in our master bedroom --- we have an upholstered headboard and I've always wanted something "focal point"-ish and unique in that space. Plus it's cool to have suspended candles in the bedroom, in my view. It's a great way to inject another form of lighting into the room, and provides great ambience.
I'm very happy with the final result. Even if we don't have the candles lit all the time, it still provides an interesting statement over the headboard. It's not so big that it overwhelms the space, and we can raise and lower it from the hook as well.
