Mobile Oil Changing - What Are The Biggest Opportunities For Growth?

Regardless of the industry there is always potential for growth. Not every industry follows the correct path, or evolves its own best interests, sometimes they get off track, and then well, it's time for them to adapt or die. That's okay, in the free-market we accept that, and when a better technology comes along, and if customers want to buy it, they will vote with their dollar and buy it, and thus, it will win.

This is evolutionary process within the free-market system which delivers abundance to our society and civilization. If you doubt what I'm saying, or doubt that there are big opportunities for growth in every industry let's go ahead and talk about this for second.

For my case study in this article I would like to use the mobile oil change industry. You see, not long ago, I was asked "what are the biggest opportunities for growth in the mobile oil change business?"

Well, consider if you will the abundance of business in saving companies with fleets time and money. Meaning trucking companies, service fleets, delivery trucks, utility companies, well they all need those services. And not just the auto and trucking sector, but also consider working with the marine industry on boat oil changes, water toys, etc.

Any company that has portable generators, field equipment, or industrial equipment needs you. How about the oil and gas industry and all that agricultural equipment, those are both big customers if you can secure them - also consider all the back-up generators for large corporations in case of power outages during stormy weather.

Very smart mobile oil change service companies make money by saving other people money and time, that is to say money or time, or both. They save fleet trucking companies money by doing all the vehicles in a row, so those companies do not have to take those vehicles to an oil change facility for that preventative maintenance, this saves wear and tear on equipment and payroll costs associated with hiring a driving to drive each truck back and forth. Neither do these companies have to hire a full-time mechanic on the property. Obviously it makes sense to outsource the services.

Indeed, I would submit to you the best businesses around are those businesses that make money by saving other people money and/or time. They add value, and efficiency to free markets. In this case the mobile oil change sector does just that each and every day with each and every operator participate in this sector.

Further, whereas there might be some chaos in the industry such as electric cars without motors, I can tell you one thing. Anytime I have seen a crisis or chaos situation in any industry, I've always seen new opportunities. Someone is going to have to service and keep those batteries up to snuff. Someone has to lubricate all the joints, and inspect those electrical parts. There are fire and safety concerns with electric cars, you can never be too safe.

Those in the industry that are smart will see these new opportunities as they come forth, and add-on new services that their customers most desire and are willing to pay for, again, they will be making money as they grow saving companies and customers time and resources. Please consider all this and think on it.
