Ford Motor Company completely redesigned its Lincoln line of cars for the 1958 model year. Although the 1958 Lincolns were all-new, the model names were the same as used on the 1957 models. The Capri was the entry-level Lincoln, while the Premiere was more upscale. Lincolns of this era -- as well as other makes of vehicles -- had a chrome horn button mounted at the center of the steering wheel. A large ring connected to projecting spokes on the button. Pressing anywhere on the button, spokes or ring will activate the horns. Removal of the horn ring may be necessary to access the steering wheel retaining nut or turn signal parts.
