Ascari A10 - The Crown Jewel of the Ascari Supercars

The Ascari A10 is a supercar produced by the Dutch owned and U.K. operated super car builder Ascari Cars. It was a production that commemorated the 10th anniversary of the company. The Ascari A10 is one of the fastest cars in the world and is the crown jewel of the Ascari Cars.

Ascari built the street legal A10 sports car based on the manufacturer’s KZ1-R GT race car. It was designed by Paul Brown, an ex-F1 engineer. It is the third road car produced by the company after the Ecosse and the KZ1. The engineers of Ascari ensured that the 220 mph car will deliver a world-class performance like that of the Pagani, Mosler and Koenigsegg.

The Ascari A10 is powered by a 5.0 Liter BMW V8 engine tuned to produce a maximum output of 625 bhp and 413 lb-ft of torque. It is delivered via a six-speed sequential manual gearbox with a regular manual transmission available as an option. The A10 features carbon fiber chassis and racing derived suspension. It weighs only 1,280 kg.

The A10 is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.8 seconds. It goes from 0 to 100 MPH in 5.8 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 10.8 seconds at 138 mph. The Ascari A10 can reach a top speed of 220 mph.

The Ascari A10 comes with a base price of $650,000. The company announced that only 50 units were to be produced for this version of supercars at its factory in Banbury, England. This limited availability certainly puts the Ascari A10 on the list of many collectors' items.
