In the early years of Ford pickup trucks, owners used them simply for their hauling capability. Ford gave very little concern to passenger room until the demand for more passenger room forced the maker to release the first crew cab -- four-door -- Ford truck in 1969. The 2004 F-150 came with four doors and rear seats in its SuperCab and SuperCrew models. When fitted with a 60-40 split rear seat, you can fold either side of the rear seat up for more storage or fold it down to haul more passengers.
