The Answer Roost Boost was an ignition upgrade kit that was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s for use on the Honda XR250R and several other dirt bike models made by Yamaha. In theory the Answer Roost Boost was supposed to enhance ignition and engine spark. However, the part eventually fell out of popularity and production of the part stopped over 10 years ago.

Remove the motorcycle's negative battery cable with the adjustable wrench.
2Locate the Answer Roost Boost. It is situated between the ignition the coil and stator.
3Disconnect the old Answer Roost Boost from the plastic wiring harness.
4Remove the retaining screw that holds down the bracket that holds the Answer Roost Boost in place. Slip the new Answer Roost Boost in place, clamp it down and then tighten the clamp with the Phillips screwdriver
5Plug the Answer Roost Boost into the plastic wiring harness and then replace the motorcycle's negative battery cable with the wrench.
