The Adastra - One of the World’s Most Amazing Super Yachts

The Adastra is a massive, custom built masterpiece of engineering that looks more like a spacecraft than an actual vehicle. It is a unique superyacht launched by McConaghy Boats in Zhu Hai, China in 2012.

Designed by Sussex-based yacht designer John Shuttleworth, the Adastra was built at the cost of a $15 million. The Adastra is 42 meter in length and weighs in at 52 tonnes. This superyacht has a maximum speed of 22.5 knots. It has the capacity to accommodate nine guests and has room for up to six screw members.

It took over five years to design and build the Adastra. Each and every aspect of the Adastra's construction keeps its weight to a minimum while still being eye-catching. The hardwood cabinetry of the yacht is crafted of fine, light-weight oak with honeycomb pockets. However, some important hardware like the hatch and ladders are made of ultra-strong carbon fiber which are just a fraction of the weight of steel components.

The striking trimaran has an integrated ship monitoring system, and can even be controlled with an Apple iPad within a 50-metre range.

The Adastra is one of the world’s most amazing super yachts, that can spell the future for efficient long range cruising. This giant yacht is an eye-turning behemoth that can give its owner a luxurious way to travel on the high seas or just party. The Adastra is one of the remarkable vessels in the world.
