The 102E3 is bus manufactured by MCI coaches. The brake light switch activates the brakes so that drivers behind the bus can tell when the bus is stopping. Although a Coach bus is much bigger than a car, the procedure for changing out the brake light switch is essentially the same.
Instructions
- 1
Shine a flashlight up toward the top of the brake pedal to locate the brake switch.
2Remove with a screwdriver the screw that holds the clamp holding the switch in place.
3Disconnect the old stop light switch from the plastic wiring harness.
4Connect the new switch the wiring harness and then bolt it to the brake pedal on the bus with the clamp. Test the brake to make sure they work.
