1968 Ford 302 Specifications

The 1968 Ford 302 is a 5-liter engine that was produced by the Ford Motor Company. This engine was one of the longest running production engines and it was used in various Ford, Mercury and Lincoln models, including the popular Mustang. The Ford 302 was discontinued in 1995, after 27 years of production. It was replaced with a smaller 4.6-liter engine.

302 "F" 2V 1968-1973

    The Ford 302 "F" 2V engine was produced from 1968 to 1973. It is an eight-cylinder, 90-degree engine with an overhead valve configuration and a two-barrel carburetor. The displacement is 302 cubic inches; the gross power is 230 brake horsepower at 4,800 rpm except for the Shelby Cobra GT 350, which produces 250 horsepower at 4,800 rpm. This engine requires premium gas due to the increased compression.

302 "G" 8V 1968 Tunnel Port
