Oftentimes, the interior paneling on older pickups left a lot of room for improvement, but most drivers didnt care, as trucks were used as work vehicles. In newer trucks, such as the 2008 F-250, the interior panels hide all of the ugliness and give the truck its own sense of style. Even areas that are mostly out of view, such as the area under the steering wheel, have a trim panel over them. On the 2008 F-250, this panel under the steering wheel is called the steering column opening trim panel. Removing the steering column opening trim panel is not overly difficult, but it does require some tugging to disengage its clips, particularly if this is the first time anyone has removed this panel.
