How to Repair Windows on a Cadillac Deville 2000 Model

Chipped and broken windows in your 2000 Cadillac Deville are a sign that your car is in need of repair. Cracks along the windows can spread quickly and easily from one side of the window to the other, getting worse as the cracks grow. To repair the damage yourself, purchase the necessary materials from your local auto store, as well as search around the house for things you may already have.

Instructions

    1

Wash off the window with a mild solution of detergent and water. Use one of the cloths to scrub the window clean, and then rinse it off with clean water. Dry the window with another dry cloth.

    2

Hold the suction cup stabilizer over the damaged area. The cracks should be encompassed under the suction cup on the bottom of the unit as best as possible.

    3

Push the stabilizer onto the window until it sticks with the natural suction. Place the resin tube inside of the injector.

    4

Push the injector into the opening in the stabilizer that is meant for the injector.

    5

Pull out the injector. This creates a suction that quickly draws the liquid resin from its keeping tube. The resin will then fill the cracked areas.

    6

Carefully lift the stabilizer off of the window so as not to smudge the resin.

    7

Cut strips of adhesive curing film and lay them directly over the wet resin. Remove the strips after an hour or so once the resin has cured properly.
